WHAT'S COVERED
Yes - dietitian support can be funded through your NDIS plan.
Many NDIS participants and their families don't realise that dietitian services are a fundable support. If nutrition is relevant to your disability-related goals - and for many participants it is - you may be able to access our services through your existing plan.
1
Capacity Building - Improved Health and Wellbeing
This is the most common funding line for dietitian support. It covers nutrition assessments, personalised plans and ongoing consultations aimed at improving health outcomes and daily functioning.
2
Capacity Building - Improved Daily Living
Covers therapeutic supports that build skills and independence. Dietitian support can fall under this category where it contributes to a participant's ability to manage daily life - including mealtime skills and food preparation independence.
3
Core Supports
In some cases, dietitian support may be claimed under Core Supports, particularly where it relates to assistance with daily activities. Your support coordinator can help confirm which line is most appropriate for your plan.
Note: Not sure which funding line applies to you? Contact us or speak to your support coordinator before your first appointment.
